Starting this week, please have your students log onto ST Math EVERY DAY for at least 25 minutes. Thank you!...
We cannot wait to share the spirit of the holidays with you...if you would like to share some food, please bring enough to feed 10 people..there is also a sign up sheet on the classroom door! Thank you!
On Wednesday, December 13 from 12:35 to 2:30 ALL second grade students will participate in the first ever Celebration of Light. The second grade team is working hard with our families to create a fun experience that encompasses as many culturally traditions that are celebrated at this time of the year (winter). If you have any traditions or ideas that you would like to share, please email Mr. Franklin at email@example.com. If you would like to help by volunteering, donating money for supplies, or sending in great ideas...please let Mr. Franklin know or check out Konstella for the latest sign up need...remember to think about cultural foods, crafts, games, and stories that can be taught at this time of the year. Thank you!
On or before Friday, December 15...please bring in one wrapped book (no names or tags please) that a second grade student would love to read! We will be playing a fun game that teaches kids how to be appreciative for gifts they receive. Thank you!
On Tuesday, December 12...Room 9 will be having a "Hot Chocolate" party. During the party, we will be watching a seasonal show about the spirit of friendship and family. The movie is a version of the gift of the Magi...a tale of sacrifice and love as best told by Jim Henson's Muppets in Emmet Otter's Jug- Band Christmas. Please have your student bring in a clean mug that they can use to drink hot chocolate in (with marshmallows). You can pre-write their names on the bottom...or I will add their name with some masking tape. Bring it in any day you can. Thank you & Happy Holidays!
