What is the book about? Clementine, the main character of the book is a third-grade student. She is funny, spunky, paying attention to details and kind to friends. She helped Margaret to cut her gluey hair and she had to go to the principal’s office and every time she made her imaginations and funny conversations there.
There are a lot of funny parts in this book that I like: In page 32 it says every time I see her (one of the old neighbors), she hands me a five-dollar bill and says, “Run to the store and get me some cheerios, dearie.” Or page 20: “Margaret’s room makes me feel itchy because it looks like a magazine picture, or Clementine is afraid of pointy things and boomerangs. I love the pictures of the book by Marla Frazee; because she is so creative and she added a lot of details to them. My favorite picture is on page 22 and 23. I really enjoyed reading this book. I didn’t like Margaret in this book, since she was always mean to Clementine, and every time she wanted Clementine to go to the Principal’s office to apologize. Star rating: I give 5 stars to this book, means it was excellent. I recommend reading this book to all adults and children, because it doesn’t make me bored, it was funny and Clementine’s feelings were so sweet. Review by: Adrina E. (Age 8)
