Let's have some fun reading amazing stories this summer with The Tournament of Books 2025. You will start by reading four (4) "Book Novels" before the beginning of Third Grade (over the summer). Then, you will read four (4) "Graphic Novels" during the first few weeks of your new school year. You can read by yourself, with family, with friends, to siblings, to pets, or any way that is your favorite. There will be three (3) assignments that show that you have read and which stories are your favorites. One (1) assignment will be to explain which "Book Novel" you liked the best and why. One (1) assignment will be to explain which "Graphic Novel" you liked best and why. The final assignment will be to create a project that depicts (shows) which book you loved the most out of the eight (8) that you read over the summer and into your third grade year.

BOOK REPORT DUE BY Friday, September 26th...
ASSIGNMENT: Choose your favorite book from the Champions of Round 1's "Book Novels" and Round 2's "Graphic Novels" and create a "BOOK REPORT"...Choose from the following options below!
Create a diorama for a scene or part of the story that was really fun and exciting from the two choices above. Think "3D Artful Artist"...The title of the story, the author, and your name must appear in the diorama. You will turn in your diorama on August 17, but for your assignment...you will take 3 photos of your project and share on Padlet (look for the Padlet Icon below)...
You will have the option of putting your diorama on display in the Bubb Library for the school to enjoy when the new school year begins. Just bring it to Mrs. Hatakeda or Mr. Franklin in August. Have FUN!!!
ASSIGNMENT: Video Book Review...
At the end of every Reading Rainbow, kids like ours got to do amazing Book Reviews...they all began with the host saying, "but you don't have to take my word for it"...and ended with the classic Dun Dun Dun...sound...watch a few to get the idea...Film yours on Padlet (look for the Icon below))...I will post them for all to share...
